C- Control your career! Do the research; know your career inside out. Well-built knowledge of your company and clients will make you stand out from the competition.

U- Utilize your networks! Co-workers and those your network with are the best source book. Pick at their brain!

S- Simplify your life! Sometimes using large vocabulary or jargon hurts you!

Spent the day today looking for jobs in public relations. I have noticed everything has a little bit of public relations in it. According to some, even administrative work has public relations. Searching for that entry level REAL public relations position is that much harder because of all the jargon!

When I graduated from college, I felt empowered. I had tons of internships under my belt and knew I would be in my career sooner then later. I moved to the Bay area in hopes of landing that perfect job in the perfect city, San Francisco. This economy disagreed and continues to disagree with me.

Every day I apply for a job and yet, I never have enough of something. Not even for an internship. An internship is a position where you gain the job experience, yet there is a job qualification even for that position. I can’t get a job without more experience and when I try to get an internship, they tell me I don’t have experience for that either. Huh? I just want to learn!

My road to success continues.
